This page explains what happens to your data when you use StripHTML.com. The short version: almost nothing you do here reaches the server at all, nothing you paste is ever stored, and the only thing collecting anything about you is the advertising.
Nothing you paste into a tool on this site is stored, logged or retained, ever. There is no database of submitted text and no archive of past conversions.
Almost every tool here runs entirely in your browser. The text never leaves your device and is never sent anywhere. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tools will still work.
There is one exception. The Strip HTML tool on the front page processes your text on the server: when you press the button, the text is sent over an encrypted connection, processed in memory, returned to you and discarded. It is not written to disk, not written to a log file and not retained after the response is sent.
Like nearly every website, the server keeps standard access logs. These record the requested URL, the time, the browser user agent, the referring page and the IP address. They exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are not linked to the content of anything you submit, and the submitted content itself never appears in them.
One tool, the AI indexing checker, also records your IP address separately in order to rate limit it — without that, a single visitor could hammer the page. That record is your IP address and a timestamp, nothing else. It is held in temporary storage, is not connected to what you typed, and is discarded within an hour.
This site is paid for by advertising, which is what keeps every tool free and free of signups.
Ads are served by BuySellAds and by Google AdSense. You can manage your own Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.
These partners and their vendors may set cookies or use similar technologies to select and measure ads, and may collect technical information including browser and device type, IP address, approximate location and referring site. That data goes to them, not to me. I have no access to it and no way to connect it to anything you paste into a tool.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent banner on your first visit, provided by the advertising partners above. Your choice there governs whether advertising cookies are used, and you can change or withdraw it at any time through the link in the banner.
There are no analytics scripts on this site. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps, no behavioural profiling. Traffic is reviewed only through the server logs described in section 2.
The tools here are general purpose utilities and are not aimed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is processed. In practice there is very little to act on: the only personal data on this side is the IP address in the server logs, kept on the legal basis of legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. Anything the advertising partners hold is theirs, and requests about it are best directed to them through the links in section 3.
You can reach a human at contact@striphtml.com with any request or question, including a request for who operates the site. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
